Church Ministries
Ministers of Community Care (MCCs):
Lay Chaplains provide pastoral care to the congregation and their families in the form of pastoral visits, phone calls, spiritual direction, communion, and prayer. Lay Chaplains provide spiritual nourishment and encouragement during times of stress, change and crisis. Through compassionate, empathetic listening, lay chaplains journey with those experiencing illness and recovery, helping them strengthen their faith and supporting them as they search for God’s mercy, grace, love and power.
Music Department:
The music ministry seeks to give God the glory through a variety of music styles. Our music programs include: music for the worship services, choral groups, children’s ensembles and instrumental music.
Children and Youth:
Agape' offers a fully staffed nursery providing a loving and nurturing environment for children under the age four. Children are signed in and out of the nursery room by the parents. Children’s Sunday school is offered during the morning worship for children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Bible lessons are taught using hands on activities which students take home to be reminded of God’s love for them.
Ushers and Greeters
From the greeters at the doors to the ushers in the sanctuary, members and guests are guaranteed a welcoming and inviting worship experience. A first time visitor never feels alone. Greeters are stationed at our entry doors to welcome all worshipers. The Ushers also greet people as they enter the sanctuary and provide other important duties during the worship service.
Communion Servers and Holders:
Since Agape' offers communion each Sunday, four to five servers are needed to present the elements and offer a short prayer of blessing for each person. Two to three people are needed to hold the elements for the servers.
Media and Sound Ministry:
All services are run through a production quality sound system and recorded to CD/DVD. The media center provides all the projected images during the service by using our computer media software. Copies of worship services will be provided upon request. Sermons are now published to on our church website.
Hospitality and Meet, Greet & Eat:
After worship, a coffee bar is open in the fellowship hall for a time of sharing. Once a month, a full meal is served by the Meet, Greet & Eat Team. First time visitors eat for free as we gather to welcome, involve and nurture all.
Open Hearts Gift Shop:
The Gift Shop offers religious items from jewelry, books, crosses and music, to bumper stickers, key chains, ball caps, cups and magnets to raise pride in our community.
